Post-Christmas snow storm left enough snow to go out and enjoy some snow shoeing before the New Year hit. Layers were a necessity, but 12 degrees isn't too bad when you're prepared.  Tucked into the plains of South Dakota, Badlands National Park contains stunning landscapes and breathtaking views. Only had a short period of time to explore, but I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Found these little prickly friends on a recent walk around the local nature park. I loved the resilience shown as they grew out of cracks along the rocks. Hoping to share more photos and maybe start a photo challenge soon to continue working on my skills and just enjoy my camera a little bit more.
